Flower Remedies and Homeopathy w/ Alexis Smart

· 01:18:46

|
Alexis Smart is a flower remedy practitioner, a classical homeopath, and the founder of Alexis Smart Flower Remedies. For over twenty years she has worked with the 38 flower remedies of Dr. Edward Bach, first as one on one with clients and now through a line of her own formulas. She also continues her homeopathy studies in Greece with George Vithoulkas.

Most of us have felt a flower shift our mood without being able to say why. Alexis has come to see every flower as having a personality of its own, and she feels it as much standing next to the living plant as she does in the bottle.

We talk about how she came to this work as a patient before she was a practitioner, a doctor who dosed himself with Peruvian bark two hundred years ago, and why a more diluted homeopathic remedy is the stronger one. We get into how Dr. Bach found his 38 flowers and how an essence is made, why heather grows in crowds on the Scottish hills while water violet grows alone, the difference between an oak and a people pleaser, and the one remedy she avoided for years because she was afraid she might need it. Alexis also shares her account of how homeopathy nearly disappeared from American shelves.

Note: Alexis shares her own experiences and her work as a practitioner, and nothing in this episode is medical advice. If you’re dealing with a health condition, please talk to a qualified healthcare provider.
